Uniting Faith and Community

We are Catholics seeking to know and serve the Lord and one another, while living in a society which is increasingly hostile to our faith. In Genesis…we were not created to be alone Genesis 2:18 God
created us to need others and live in community. Thanks to these relationships available to us through Fidèles Amici we can continue to know, love, and serve God as Jesus himself exemplified; He had many friends such as Mary, Martha, Lazarus, the apostles, and disciples, who we were by his side in public life… as Jesus says, “I have called you friends.” Jn 15:15.

As is often said, ‘A Catholic alone is a Catholic in danger.’ Acts 2: 42 The early church was devoted to the apostles teaching, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

Thus, Fidèles Amici is for a dynamic new organization to engender Catholic fellowship across greater Tucson and southern Arizona from diverse parishes, communities, and age groups.

Meet Our Founding Members

Kit & Michele Grantham

When Kit met his future wife Michele, he fell in love with both her and with the beauty, truth and order of her deep Catholic Faith— these two loves have grown greater and richer over time. Kit and Michele enjoy sharing their Christian faith with Catholic couples. Kit and Michele have two adult children, and he is a practicing anesthesiologist.

Mike & Shari Sullivan

Mike, a cradle Catholic, and Shari, a convert (2000) share a passion for evangelism and seeing men and women grow in their love of our Lord. Parents of five grown children, Mike owned an investment banking firm and Shari owned an insurance agency. Since retiring, they enjoy travel and have made Tucson a second home and are active with a number of local and national apostolates.

Tim & Jane Reckart

Jane and Tim have been married for 40 years, have been blessed with six children, all of whom are still practicing their faith, regard each other as best friends and their path to heaven, and like to enjoy this life with other friends and good wine.

Faith is a journey, and it’s one we are not meant to walk alone. In today’s fast-paced world, it can be challenging to find spaces where faith, fellowship, and purpose come together in meaningful ways. That’s why communities like Fidèles Amici are so vital. They offer a place where we can grow spiritually, support one another, and work together to bring Christ’s light into our homes and the broader Tucson community. This is more than just a gathering—it’s a network of individuals striving to live their faith authentically and inspire transformation in every aspect of their lives.

Fidèles Amici was born from a simple yet profound vision: to create a space where faith-driven individuals could unite to strengthen one another and bring Christ’s presence into the Tucson community and beyond. For years, I felt a calling to connect people who shared a desire to deepen their faith while making a tangible impact in their communities. Fidèles Amici is the realization of that dream. It is a movement rooted in faith, fellowship, and a shared mission to be a force for good in Southern Arizona.

As a prospective member, I invite you to join us in this journey of faith and transformation. Fidèles Amici offers the chance to grow spiritually, build lifelong relationships, and contribute to a greater purpose. Together, we can inspire change, uplift those around us, and live out our calling to make a lasting, eternal impact.
